WORKSHOPS- Kit's exciting workshops start off with a 3 hour orientation lecture for which all you need is sketchbook and pen. The rest of the time is spent developing full paintings followed by group critiques which help reinforce Kits concepts.
Bring your own bag lunches. Art supplies not included.

IT’S OK TO BE YOURSELF IN ART!
Location: Kit Lynch’s Purple Canyon Arts School Pilar, NM
Three day, All Experience Level, Plein Air Workshop in the Oil or Pastel mediums.

BEGINNER-Build your confidence with this nurturing and Passionate teacher. The BIG Outdoors need not be overwhelming with Kits common sense, step by step instruction which is tailored just for you. Get fired up and inspired about plein aire painting!
You will learn:
* Outdoor setups
* Use of pastels or oils
* Composing from the big scene
* Experimenting with styles
* Creating work with color and movement
* and begin seeking YOUR OWN VISION!
INTERMEDIATE-Want to make your work more alive and dynamic? Kit helps you design a personalized approach to her key concepts which are applicable to any subject or medium. Key ideas start to become second nature to you freeing up more juicy creative flow. Progress can be rewarding and often quite dramatic!
You might choose to work on:
* Narrowing the subject
* Editing to clarify your vision
* Composing spatial groups to enhance depth
* Creating Rhythm and Movement
* Exaggerate Color use
ADVANCED- Focus on fine-tuning and pushing your own personal vision. Each of you has a unique way of seeing the world. Kit has developed a way of working with organized solid concepts to exaggerate and enhance that vision. Watch your personal style continue to develop in exciting and sometimes unexpected ways!
You could explore:
* Expanding your idea
* Editing a scene to say more,
* Unusual compositions
* Selecting expressive color
* Using strokes for impact
* Manipulating depth of space
As you can see, each student will select goals appropriate to their needs and desires.
The pollination of ideas amongst the different levels is quite exciting!
